An experience that is fairly new to DFW metroplex and a ton of fun for anyone who visits is TopGolf. The business, which has its headquarters in Dallas, already had locations operating in Allen, The Colony, Dallas and now there is a brand new location in Fort Worth which opened earlier this year. The main portion that guests go for is obviously the 240 yard driving range but that is only one part of what they have to offer you. Oh, and if you’re not a big fan of golfing or have never picked up a club, don’t worry because the majority of guests at TopGolf are the same and are just looking to enjoy the atmosphere with family and friends.
Regarding the driving range, there are far more games than just hitting the ball as far as you can. The most popular game mode (aptly named “TopGolf”) is where you aim your ball for different targets throughout the range that are each designated with a specific point value. If your ball lands in that area, you receive that amount of points. The main goal obviously is to have the most amount of points at the end of the game as you compete against the rest of your party. Some of the other game modes are TopDrive (furthest shot), TopPressure (hitting all nine colored sections), TopScramble (compete in teams), and TopShot (based on accuracy of shots).
The hours of operation are Sunday-Thursday: 9:00am-12:00am and Friday-Saturday: 9:00am-1:00am. When you visit, your party will be assigned a specific bay which can run from $25-$45 an hour depending on what time of the day that you visit. Six players are allowed to golf per game but there are couches and chairs at each bay if you have a few more than that. Seeing that TopGolf is open year-round and outdoors, you’re probably thinking that in the winter it gets unbelievably cold and hitting golf balls is not something you want to do, but luckily each bay is in fact climate controlled with heaters to thaw you off in the winter and some cold flowing air conditioning to keep you cool in this Texas heat.
After all that swinging, you’ve most likely built up a thirst and appetite. TopGolf has a full bar for any beverages you might want as well as a full dining menu with an accomplished chef at each location making whatever tasty dishes you want.
So next chance you get, stop by one of the 4 locations in the DFW metroplex with some friends and have a great time at TopGolf.
