If you’re taking a trip to Dallas and looking for something memorable, stop by the iconic Reunion Tower to really take in the city like you have never seen it before. Take the glass elevator all the way to the top and you’ll get a 360-degree view of the city from over 560 feet in the air! “The Ball” which is what the structure is often referred to as due to the shape towers top, was first completed in 1978. It’s unique architectural design includes three circular shaped floors each offering something different for guests and a one of a kind experience.

The first floor is the observation deck (GeO deck) where you can in immerse yourself in the skyline. Aided with the telescopes that are offered throughout the floor, you’ll be able to . If you’re looking for a quick snack or drink, there is also a café on this floor. Head up to the second and you will be where all the special events occur. On the top floor is the award winning Five Sixty restaurant which was opened by the famous chef Wolfgang Puck. Not only is the food exquisite but as you are seated, the entire floor slowly rotates so you can gaze out on the entire city. After you are satisfied with the food and view, there is a souvenir gift shop on the first floor in case you wanted any mementos to remember your visit.

One of the newest experiences offered is the Reunion Tower Constellation which is pretty much each visitors way of making their mark on the tower. It consists of multiple touch screen monitors throughout the GeO deck level where guests can add their name and geographical information to a star. You will have the ability to describe your experience at Reunion Tower and document it for others to see and view. With every guest that contributes to the Constellation, another star is added; adding one more wrinkle to this unique experience for visitors.

I remember my girlfriend telling me that we had to check out the Reunion Tower since neither of us had ever been and we were not disappointed. The view was mesmerizing and the food was delicious which both contributed to a wonderful experience and something that we are sure to go back to again. Whether you’re trying to plan a romantic dinner, show some out of town friends a great view of Dallas or just wanting to enjoy a great meal while being hundreds of feet in the air…..the Reunion Tower should be one of the stops on your list the next time you visit Dallas.
